It isn’t uncommon for people to jump onto their phones in their morning to get their day started. Whether it’s checking work emails, catching up on social media, or responding to text messages, going straight to technology isn’t the best way to start the day. Instead of picking up the phone right away, try making yourself a cup of tea or coffee, finding a quite place, and then doing one of the following suggestions for about 15-20 minutes before reaching for your phone, computer, ipad, etc.
- Meditate
- Light a candle
- Read something inspirational
- Write in a journal
- Do some yoga or stretching
- Think about your priorities or goals and set an intention for the day
