Although you don’t want to put yourself in a difficult or harmful situation, you want to spend quality time with your loved ones. That’s why you should follow these important tips for surviving the holidays while maintaining your sobriety.

  1. Have a plan so that you are prepared and know what to expect
  2. Have a non-alcoholic drink in your hand during the party so that you are in control of what you are drinking and people will be less likely to offer you a drink
  3. Set a time limit on how long you will stay
  4. Make sure you have someone who you can call if you need to
